My friend Anne sent me this holiday snap and I knew straight away that I wanted to paint it. The little track meandering through the pandanus trees to the aquamarine sea beyond was just so inviting that I knew it could be one of those paintings that you just want to walk into. It just captures the north coast of NSW so perfectly.
